About Us
Welcome - Cead Mile Failte.
I started my journey in the touring business in 1995. At the time I was also involved with Ballybunion Golf Club in various Committee roles at the Club, eventually becoming Captain, which was a great honor for me and one that I will always cherish.
During my Captaincy I was privileged to meet and play with people from different parts of the World. I was fortunate to gain firsthand experience at our Club, especially during some of our Major events, realising the importance of providing a welcoming experience and service to visitors and golfers alike.
My journey in the golf club and tour business has enhanced my knowledge and understanding of how to provide a personable and unique experience for all our clients.
Ireland Travel Links was established in 2000 with the aim of providing a bespoke luxury touring business that will provide a unique experience for individuals, couples, families and groups small and large.
This family business continues to grow from our experience and knowledge of working with our team of likeminded professionals who go the extra mile to ensure our clients have a memorable stay on the Emerald Isle.
So, if you are considering a trip to Ireland and need expert assistance here on the ground, we are here for you and look forward to hearing from you.
CEO, Ireland Travel Links.
Meet the team
Gerard burke
I started working in the touring business in 1995 as a Chauffeur Guide. At the time I was also involved with Ballybunion Golf Club in various Committee roles at the Club and eventually was elected to Captaincy. In 2000 I began chauffeuring tours for myself and I set up Ireland Travel Links. In the early years I was a one-man band planning, chauffeuring and guiding my tours but as the business expanded I worked more extensively with likeminded professionals.
I have trained and woven an experienced family management team around me that allows me to still maintain direct contact with my clients through being a Chauffeur Guide driver which I enjoy immensely. I believe this gives the company a great edge as I get direct feedback from customers and this helps us build better bespoke tours for our clients.
My interests include golf, literature, walking, hiking, gastronomy and travel. Places I love to visit include Killarney, Kilkenny, Kinsale, Valentia and Aran Islands, Philadelphia, California & Florida.

A single digit handicap golfer Aidan has won two All Irelands for his club at Junior Cup and Jimmy Bruen level.
He has travelled the world extensively from Australia to America and knows every attraction Ireland, Scotland or America has to offer. Aidan combines his qualifications in Engineering and Project Management with the interpersonal skills he has from touring and being an ambassador for Ballybunion Golf Club to ensure from start to finish your tour is a seamless unforgettable experience.
Aidan’s interests include golf, walking, arts, travel, social media and music. Places he loves to visit include Dingle, Cork, Galway, Washington, Los Angeles, Melbourne & Edinburgh.

Donal Scannell
Donal has been in the tourism industry for decades. From 1973 he ran the very successful Mills Inn Hotel with his wife in his home town of Ballyvourney and he won many awards in the Hospitality Industry. He is very proud of his Ballyvourney routes in a small rural Gaeltacht (Irish/Gaelic speaking) community set by fast flowing streams as they make their way eastwards from the Cork and Kerry Mountains.
Upon selling his business he became a Chauffeur for Government Diplomats and also worked as a Private Chauffeur Guide. I worked in the tourism industry with Donal who is a like minded Touring Professional and this mutual professional appreciation has grown so much that he now is our Transport & Logistics Manager.
Donal combines his management role with being a chauffeur guide as he enjoys it immensely to meet new clients. Donal’s interests include culture, reading, arts, travel and traditional music. Places he loves to visit include Cork, Kerry, Wicklow, Sydney, London & New York.
